Many thanks to HuntnLady who dreamed up this cache and spent mucho time helping me prepare the cache. I forgot to mention her hard work before. I will state, though, that she didn't know where I placed it. I was remiss in not mentioning her creative idea!! Am I in the dog house HuntnLady? ______________________________________________ Darius was a king in ancient Persia, once known as part of Mesopotamia and now known as modern day Iran. He is often featured sitting on his throne in his ceremonial complex at Persepolis, Iran. In fact, there was a Kind Darius I, King Darius II, and King Darius III. At the height of the Persian’s power their empire extended from Africa to India. By 334 BC, Alexander the Great of Macedonia defeated Darius III and sacked Persepolis (331 BC).

Upon visiting this location you will see amazing images of King Darius as well as the soon-to-be finished Darioush Visitor Center. Note the color and architecture of the building; an unusual yet exquisite addition to the Napa Valley.

First to find gets a gift certificate for a special gift from the nearby visitor’s center. The facility has given permission to locate the cache on their property. Please be respectful of the business, visitors, and workers.
