My wife's birthday was quickly approaching. Like most gals, Rhonda likes shiny rocks, preferably mounted in shiny metal. So, off I went on a quest to aquire something that was sure to knock her socks off. After many stops, I found myself browsing through the jewelry case at one of my favorite stores. It was then that I came across an aquamarine pendant. No, don't like that one, that would be a zero. A zero is not what I was looking for. Ruby, Sapphire , Pearls, Emeralds? What shall I bring home to my wife? Sapphires,, she has the whole set. Emeralds are pretty, nice deep green, like her eyes. Aquamarine again,, well let's not, and say we did. Hmmmm Diamonds,, always a girls best friend, but we completed that set a couple years ago. No,, I needed a new stone for this special birthday. Choices were many, but nothing that caught my eye. Well,, time to leave I thought to myself. Maybe I will find the perfect gift at the next store. Just as I turned to leave, my eye caught sight of a beautiful row of shimmering globes. This was the one! An 18 inch string of beautiful pearls. Exactly what I was looking for, I just didn't know it yet! WooHoo,, MUCH better than the Amethyst earrings I was pondering just ten minutes ago. Better than the Sapphire from last Christmas. These glowing orbs will adorn her in royal fashion. Now that I have the perfect gift, I can't wait for Rhonda's birthday.
