Peters Lake Geocache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

frugal squirrel: I'm archiving this cache since people can no longer find it, and I no longer live locally, so I cannot check up on it and provide maintenance. I'm glad to see this cache lived a long 13 year life with over 200 geocachers logging their find.

Geocache Description:

Located in Peters Lake Park, this geocache offers adventurers an enjoyable hike along the lake on their way to finding the hidden cache.

Geocachers can bring their fishing rods with them on this trip since Peters Lake is open to licensed fishing. A hiking trail also circles the entire lake and is probably about 1 and 3/4 miles long, but it can be rather muddy in certain locations. The hike to this geocache is just under a half mile, but you have to follow a deer trail part of the way to get to it. Preferred parking for this geocache is located at N 40 15.326 and W 080 06.650 at the end of N. Spring Valley Road off of Waterdam Road.

The cache is hidden in a 30 cal. ammo can. Original cache contents include a spiral bound index card logbook and a disposable camera so you can take your picture. Just note in the logbook which camera frame is your pic and I will try to get the pictures up on the website once all the film is used up.
