This is one of those new area walkouts creating an overlook to the Rum River.
I was surprised to stumble across this. There are limited sites along the
river for the public. Especially one with a few possibilities of hiding a cache.
I have been spending some spare time for a couple of months off and on driving around
Anoka and Coon Rapids looking for just such a spot.
At the end of 3rd Ave. in Anoka, is a LARGE rather new looking Building (above coordinates) for the Anoka Fire Department. It faces Harrison St. Be sure to go by there and think
about them, perhaps a mental salute. Any way there is a cornerstone with a year on it.
(Can be seen on a drive by if not blocked by a delivery truck like what happened to me.)
Get this number YYYY. (and have a moment of thought and that Salute.)
Then apply it here..... xxxx=YYYY-100
and zzzz=YYYY+490
Then you will have a Latitude that is 45 degrees 12.xxxx and a Longitude of 93 degrees 23.zzzz
Not too many people around during the day at this time of year but I can imagine when there's
warmer weather there could be a number of visitors at any time of the day. Please if your going to be
seen wait or come back another time.
