This is an off-set multi-cache, the coordinates given are for
the start of the footpath just outside the village of Great
Shefford. It is possible to park on the verge at this point but it
is on the side of the A338, which is a fairly busy road.
A more pleasurable alternative is to take some refreshment in
the village pub, leave the car in the car park and walk the 300 or
so metres to the footpath starting point. From here follow the
footpath alongside the field and up the hill, which has a rather
steep incline and continue until you come to a metal post with
footpath direction signs attached. Here you will find the
information you need to work out the coordinates for the cache.
On the footpath signpost , the number of yellow arrows is value
x (remember to look on both sides). Nearby is a wooden footpath
indicator post, the number of white circles with yellow arrows on
this post is value y.
The coordinates of the cache are as follows: - N51, 27.(2x +
1)(x + 1)(2x – 1), W001, 27.(y – 1)(3y)(4y)
The cache is a small ammo box with the usual trinkets and
goodies. There is a disposable camera so please take a photo and
note the number in the logbook or on the cache web page. There are
also some ‘Found It’ cards so please take one. If you
take the last one please let us know so that we can re-stock.
Please note that the cache is very close to the footpath so
please take care when locating it and particularly when replacing
and concealing it.
There is another Mojoh cache in this area so why not try that
one too?
