Shades of Death Traditional Cache

Shades Of Death creek is located in Fayette Co. WV. It is a remote tributary of the New River.
The cache is located along a small branch of the creek which feeds Boley Lake at Babcock State Park.
We have asked several local residents while fishing at the park how this strange stream aquired its name.
No one seems to know ,however the woods where we placed the cache seemed--somewhat eerie.
Park at Boley Lake. LakeView Trail, red diamond markings, is a loop trail around the lake so it does not matter which way you go. You will eventually come to a small wooden bridge which spans the spoooooky brook. You have arrived at your destination--beware.

There is also the pirate guardian of the cache, Please do not take this , leave the pirate in the cache or the shades of death curse may come upon you.
Note: Another weird thing about this place is we had trouble with the GPS accuracy signal at times at the cache site.
