Geocache Description:

Awesome view of Searles Valley. Behind the cache are the Gold Bottom Dunes. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is needed to make it all the way. High clearance vehicles could park and walk once the going gets tough. Soft sand and steep grades abound
near end of trip.

Standing at this cache you can see the Argus sand dunes straight across the valley. The entire valley is spread out before you in all its glory. Kids will enjoy playing in the Gold Bottom Sand Dunes if you can make it to them. Taking a lower road down into the nearby canyon leads to the remains of the Goldbottom mine.(Also known as Copper Queen,I think.)
Cache has standard notepad, 2 pencils, North Carolina Quarter, Squishy ball,Flower key chain "Sea Turtle" Wade of England figurine and some greeting cards.
