Paxton's Tower. Short walk with a bit of a slope.
Paxton's Tower, aka Nelson's Tower was built by Sir William Paxton as part of his improvements to his Middleton Hall Estates in 1811. (Or as another story goes, to prove he wasn't bankrupt after having spent a fortune on an unsuccessful election campaign). He had a plaque placed on the tower commemorating Nelson's victories.
There are wonderful views to be had of the Towy Valley and on a clear day, 7 different counties can be seen.
PLEASE NOTE Co-ordinates taken from approx 10m from box and from the wrong side of the fence due to tree cover. You will have to walk down fence for a bit to find the opening.
Smallish tupperware type container with as many goodies as we could get in.
