NOTE - due to an ambitious road crew this is now a TWO cache
series. The "Trail's End" cache is gone. The coordinates above WILL
NOT lead you to the cache. They will take you to Stage 1 in the
(now) 2 cache series. The two stages are fairly close but involve a
little driving.
The 3 caches in this series are:
Stage 1 - Park’s End
Stage 2 - Train’s End (this one)
You must do them in the above order because the coordinates for
the next cache are located in the previous one.
Bring the kids. Nearby there is a bright red, restored caboose
(hence the cache name) that they will like seeing, I think.
The coordinates you found at Park’s End will lead you to a
dedication plaque at a historic building. You will need to locate
the following information to determine the coordinates of the cache
at this location.
The first and last digits of the year of dedication. These are
numbers AB
The number of letters in the mayor’s last name. This is the
number X
The number of letters in the first word on the plaque. This is
the number Y
Add AB to 32 53.796
Add XY to 097 09.716
I have replaced the container due to water soaked log books.
This cache container is now a camo'd small vitamin bottle. Cache
contains a Log book only. Bring Your Own Pen. This is in a fairly
open location so re-hide carefully. Make sure the “cover” does not
appear disturbed.
The coordinates for the third cache, Trail’s End, are written on
the underside/inside of the bottle cap and inside the front and
back covers of the log book.
