A Rough Landing
As part of this daring plan you and your comrades of the
2nd Parachute battalion have been dropped behind enemy
lines near the Dutch town of Arnhem. Unfortunately you have missed
the drop zone (DZ) and have become separated from your
comrades.
Your first task is to make your way to the rendezvous point and
try and pick up the trail your comrades have left, and rejoin them
at your objective. Part of your kit includes a portable decoder
which is vital for the success of your mission, be sure to
download
it before departing.
The Rendezvous
You have landed at S37º 50.063' E145º 01.469 just under a
thousand meters from your designated DZ, follow this path toward
your assigned rendezvous at S37º 50.247' E145º 01.950'. Along the
way you will come across a clear sign that your comrades have been
in this area, but enemy activity has forced them to push on without
you. They have left a code that when placed in your decoder will
direct you to your next objective. Beware of Dutch collaborators
and Gestapo informants as you search for your instructions, the
Germans are aware of your presence and under the present
circumstances are in no mood to take prisoners.
Sniper Ally
Once again enemy activity has forced your comrades to fall back
to a more secure position. They have fallen back to the northern
end of the rail bridge across the Rhine that links Arnhem to
Nijmegen, this bridge is of strategic significance and must be held
in tact, as the Germans have already destroyed the road bridge to
Nijmegen.
Arnhem Bridge
You arrive at Arnhem bridge to find that the Germans have
managed dislodge your comrades from their tenuous foothold at the
northern end of the bridge. The code word they left in snipper ally
gives you the location of demolition charges placed on the bridge
by German engineers. Locate the demolition charge to complete this
cache.
