Mongo: ### ARCHIVE OF GEOCACHE DUE TO LACK OF MAINTENANCE BY THE OWNER ###

Greetings,

I hate to see any cache go, but I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from, nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

CACHE ARCHIVAL IS PERMANENT

Geocaches not maintained by the owner will still be archived even when a throwdown container has been left. Ownership Regarding Throwdowns

Regretfully,

Geocache Description:

Please read all of the description as there has been some important changes made!

On December 9, I placed 10 Travel Bugs in this cache including a JEEP TB. It's not as complicated and hard as it sounds so come on and give it a shot.

This multi/puzzle cache takes place on the campus of KCOM, the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and adjacent city property. Part of the cache takes place outdoors, and part inside the A.T. Still Museum. The Museum curator and staff enthusiastically endorsed this cache, and donated a souvenir T-Shirt and Coffee Mug to be included in the final cache contents. There are many fascinating artifacts from medical practices in the 19th century and admission is FREE!

Museum hours are as follows:

10am – 4pm Monday thru Wednesday
10am – 7pm Thursday
Noon – 4pm Saturday**
Closed Friday and all major holidays, but, the curator is on site on Friday and will be happy to open up for geocachers
Closed Sunday

** Students man the museum on Saturdays and they occasionally close for school holidays like the 1st Saturday of Spring Break so you may want to call ahead. (660) 626-2359 or email: museum@atsu.edu

Visit them on the web at www.atsu.edu/museum, but you will have to show up in person to complete this cache.

As you near the coordinates listed above you will find yourself in a large parking lot. Find a suitable parking spot. You can easily execute the entire cache on foot, or after you leave the Museum you may elect to drive a short distance to near the A.T Still gravesite, it’s only a couple blocks by foot.

Go to N 40 11.589, W92 35.270. Here you will find etched in stone many quotes attributed to Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, the founder of Osteopathic Medicine. Another very famous scientist is mentioned here, find him and record the 1st letter of his 1st name.

Now go to the museum inside the KCOM TINNING EDUCATION CENTER, coordinates 40 11.599, W92 35.310.

There is a micro container hidden somewhere in the museum. It is NOT attached to any artifact, so hands off the artifacts! It’s small and hidden from view, so, you will have to feel for it. Don’t be shy, the staff is expecting you and looking forward to you doing their dusting for them. Inside the micro is the entire WEST coordinate. If you get stuck, or are just lazy, the first hint will narrow it down for you. It is NOT in/on the log cabin or the school house, these are artifacts. Please visit them, but they are not part of the cache, the cache is in the main museum.

The NORTH coordinate is N 40 11.ATS

To determine T: Move about the museum, note that the artifacts within each display are numbered. There are little wooden dice with numbers on them next to many of the artifacts. You need to find a certain artifact and record it’s number. To do this, take the letter you recorded in the first step (famous scientist), and add it to the word CHEESE. Unscramble these letters to make a new 7-letter word. You will find this word prominently displayed on one of the artifacts. No hint on this one except to say that it is my favorite artifact in the museum and that’s appropriate to my name. It’s easy, you’ll get it.

T = 3 + (artifact number)

Ok, you’ve been working hard so I’ll make S easy. S = T + 1

Be sure to mention to the staff that geocaching brought you in, and thank them for making this cache possible, they’re looking forward to meeting you.

To get A, you will have to visit the A.T. Still Gravesite at N 40 11.754, W 92 35.429. A = to the total number of persons listed on the main monument. It’s him, his wife, his son, and some other family members, get the total number of persons listed.

You should now have everything you need to pursue the final cache, which is an ammo can, and it’s well hidden. To start, there is a new youth large souvenir T-Shirt, and a new souvenir coffee mug donated by the museum curator. Please take only one, you must choose, but choose wisely. There’s also a bag of trinkets, logbook, the usual stuff. The 2nd and 3rd hints will help you here.

If you are going to do "Some Gave All", it would be best to do it first as it will put you in a good position to start this one.

**Placed with permission of the Museum Curator and the Parks and Recreation Director of the City of Kirksville**

*******Updates******
The final cache site has been moved due to the city bulldozing over the cache and burying it with a ton of dirt. After reaching the final cache site look south down the hill and accross the street and you will see the area that I have hidden the new cache. You probably have to go back this way anyway to get back to your car right? Please be very descreet as the city is building everywere around here. At the new cache site you should be able to sit under cover and not be seen from anyone. I did not post new coords to the new site because I wanted the cache to stay as original as possible, but I did up the difficulty to reflect this decision. Just use some geo-senses and you will find it.
