Here is a little tour of Newport. You will come across some of the odd things that exist here. I hope you enjoy yourself, and I am definitely trying to push you over the edge!
The coordinates are just a general location in Newport. When in town you will need to do some touring to find the necessary clues to solve for the final location…which is again, a magnetized hide a key box only containing a logbook. Want a hint…think like a magnet that is hiding from your view!
You must find 3 oddities.
1. A Fire truck on top of a building, no further clues as it is in a prominent central location that you may pass everyday. Gather these clues: Date in Gold on front of building, and the address number of the building.
2.The Monkey Seat, an oddity built into a stonewall, and yes, there is a seat on top! If you were sitting in the seat, across the street and to your right there is a telephone pole. Get the pole number! The Monkey Seat is located on “A keeper of Sheep” Ave. Picture of seat posted below.
3. Now you’re off to meet up with Commodore Mathew C. Perry. He hangs out at Touro Park. You will need the age he was when he died, and the year he died. (There was mention of a glitch here, do yourself a favor, go see the commodore, do not check for info on line!)

A = Take the age of the good Commodore when he died and subtract the lesser number from the greater number.
B = The number of the tele pole at the monkey seat
C = The address number of the building with the firetruck on top + 6 …(3 numbers)
D = The year Commodore Perry died (all four numbers)
E = The tens digit from the golden year on the front of the building with fire truck on top.
Solve the puzzle to find another oddity in Newport…remember the hint, and No fence climbing is required!Keep a low profile which is always the case with the elusive urban cache.
