From I25 take the State HWY 550 formerly known as Hwy 44 toward Cuba, NM. Just past mile marker 21 hook a left on the Cabazon Road (signed). Keep to the left at an immediate fork. The right fork goes up on White Mesa a gypsum mining operation. The Mars Express Cache can be found up there also. Stay on the Cabazon Road for several miles until you come to the Gas Co road which is signed and goes to the left. A short distance down this road just short of a shallow wash a two track road forks from the right. This road can be negotiated by 2wd with clearance and dry road. Otherwise it is a short walk from the Gas Co Road. I HIGHLY recommend parking at the ranch gate so you may really enjoy your surroundings while seeking this cache and the Ojito Hogback Cache. They are on public lands!
Tres Cruces is a very special place. Please respect the natural and cultural resources on our public lands.
All regular desert cautions should be heeded. Other things and critters call this home. Stop! Look! Listen! before poking around under rocks and in holes.
Have fun. THERE IS A LOG IN THE CACHE!!!! Zuni Kid
