All that's left of Rayner is the cemetery and the
former courthouse. The courthouse had become a private
residence, but it doesn't look very occupied these days.
This is one of those places you'd never know about without
reading a book or planting (or finding) a cache there. The cemetery
is a little ways up an open-range dirt road (watch for cows) (and
mud after rains), to the left and holding a number of tumbling
tombstones. The cache was planted in rather a hurry, thrown
together when the opportune moment arose, so the items can't be
enumerated here, other than to say there are a few. You'll be
looking for a shiny, black, round plastic container - simple, no
camo tape (another sign of the hurries). The courthouse is up a
neighboring road, but you can see it from the first one.
