Geocache Description:

This park opened in 1976 and now is in serious danger of being abandoned. Almost 30 years old it will soon have a new brother on Highway 27 with new tennis courts and a swimming pool. The only thing this place is used for now are practice fields and doughnuts. The lights are no longer connected and the restrooms have been torn down. There is still a nice little pavillion with picnic tables and the county cuts the grass and takes care of the trash (sort of). At least the basket ball goals still have nets. Quite sad to see it now and to think of what it once was.
