This cache is located near Lake Rita Blanca in Dalhart, TX. The difficulty and terrain are moderate, it is somewhat difficult but, a pregnant lady in flip flops made it to this cache, so it's not too tough.
Lake Rita Blanca used to be a big community lake that was filled with 12 irrigation wells, but it became too expensive to fill the lake with the wells so the city stopped filling it. Now it is more of a reservoir and has become a favorite stopping place for migratory birds. Here on the plains of Texas you can enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
