Four Travel Bugs from California are Stranded! in this cache on tiny Orchid Island.
When we got the chance of a lifetime to spend 8 days on a boat cruising Australia’s Whitsunday Islands we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go GeoCaching on another continent, but Australia is a big place, and it turned out there where no caches in the area. Well I sure didn’t want anyone else to suffer my disappointment so before leaving the US I carefully assembled two GeoCaches to be placed in the Whitsunday Islands. Stranded! is the second of these two caches.
This traditional cache is located on a very tiny island. During low tide there is a good landing beach on the south end. While you’re on the beach check out the beach combing, then climb to the top for the view. Please take care to leave no trace of your visit. I won’t be able to visit this cache often so please take good care of it and carefully cover the cache against sun and weather, it may be some time before it gets it’s next visitor.

According to the book about the Whitsundays (100 Magic Miles), this island is home to Sea Eagles, and people are asked not to go on the island in August or September. (visit link)
