Geocache Description:


Archangel Access in a 10 acre access to the Chariton River in Schuyler County. The Area is managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation Regional office at 2500 S Haliburton in Kirksville, 40 10.376, 092 34.630. Maps of the Area are NOT available at this office but are on the MDC website at (visit link)

This cache is placed under Special Use Permit. Please be sure to observe all area regulations to ensure continuation of geocaching on MDC lands.

The cache was upgraded to an ammo can in the same location on 4-31-05 and is within 100 feet of the parking area. Light bushwhacking required the last 30 feet.

These are the special provisions required for placement of the cache: Permitee shall include the following information as part of the official cache listing on geocaching.com:

1) The area is open to multiple public use including hunting, fishing, and hiking;
2) Trespass onto adjacent private property is not permitted and trespass complaints may result in revocation of this permit;
3) Geocaches are allowed on Archangel Access by Special Use Permit only;
4) Searching for geocaches is strongly discouraged during the opening weekend of the firearms deer season;
5) Persons searching for geocaches during the firearms deer season and firearms turkey season are strongly encouraged to wear hunter orange.
