Birkwood Lock Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

windswept: Popped out today. Someone has had a BBQ near the cache site, so maybe they found the cache. Anyway, it's gone. This now leaves room for someone else to place a cache.

Geocache Description:

At the side of footpath near Aire & Calder canal towpath.

This is another cache in the Aire and Calder Canal series. The cache is an easy threequarter mile walk from the main car park, although you can get nearer to it if the weather is not too good. We have not walked along the public footpath, but it appears to be quite good. The towpath is metalled almost all the way, and apart from the last 100yds, the cache could be done with pushchair, children on bikes or possibly a wheelchair.
The cache itself is a snap lock plastic container 7ins x 4ins x 2ins, so don’t take anything too large.
When left it contained : ballpoint pen, hair slides, nail brush, geocaching badge, rubber ball, crayons, toy car.
