You can decide if you want to walk or canoe to this cache. From the parking area there is a nice gravel trail all the way to the cache. We placed this cache right after a rain storm and our feet never got muddy. The trail is almost a mile to the cache but in really good shape.
This area is loaded with waterfowl and makes a great opportunity to watch all kinds of birds. When we placed the cache we saw ducks, geese, pheasants, cranes, pelicans, hawks and other shore birds.
The cache is in a large ammo box filled with a lot of goodies. Original contents are, picture frame, work gloves, rope bone, small screwdrivers, angel ornament, pull key chain,our signiture item, notebook and pencil and a Generic travel bug
