Atop Lavender Mountain, Berry College
This cache is atop Lavender Mountain on the beautiful campus of
Berry College. It is in an black snap shut case that originally
held a printer ribbon for an old IBM Model ??? printer. (Shows my
age!) Berry’s road systems allow access from multiple points. I
started at the Old Mill and walked around the reservoir to the
Crash Site Trail. The small grassy meadow on the way to the peak is
the site of a corporate plane clash some years ago. From the peak
you look down on the Rock Mountain Hydroelectric Reservoir.
Another, shorter route would be up Redmond Gap Road from the Sand
Spring Church on the north side of the mountain. My GPS only shows
hundredth of minutes so you might need to the use the hint.
