Geocache Description:

Bring extra water for this long, steep hike, & watch for snakes. Very little bushwhacking is needed; trails lead almost right to the cache.
NOTE: Remember the position of the cache & return it as close as possible. Please be discrete & eco-friendly.

Two Dams View - Ramona
THIS LONG HIKE - over three miles one way - adds yet another view of the Lake Poway and Lake Ramona dams to the list of caches which make up this series. An added bonus is another view of someone's private playground off to the northwest. You also get some distance views as well as views of the many communities which make up this part of San Diego.

As you get within about ten feet of the cache, there is a big surprise for you; a large wobbly boulder; it is not as stable as it appears.

There are trails/roads all the way up nearly to the cache, so there is no need to scale the mountain here. It is still VERY steep. Be cautious especially when descending; it's easy to slip. Additionally, be vigilant for snakes. I didn't see any when setting this cache, but they will be out as it warms up.

Finally, bring enough water for an 6+ mile hike under lots of sun.
