Geocache Description:

This cache and its surrounding folliage were wiped away by floods, and then muggled, but now the cache has been replaced in a nearby better hiding place not to far away amidst these wonderful surroundings.

To begin your search, into the green area to the coordinates given. This waypoint is not the location of the cache but your starting point for the grand adventure. Parking is nearby this waypoint.

Once you arrive at the initial waypoint in the green area, wait here. Once you are ready, move on. Now proceed to the nearest exit to leave this sanctum. Then go into the nearest other entrance and proceed to the nearest bench in a similar sanctum which is next to the one you just left. Now wait here also, but hopefully you will not need to wait as long. Look all around you. Why in the world would you be sent here? And why the last place? What is the difference? There is a reason you were sent there first, then here.

Go back out of this sanctum the way you came in. But as you go out, have a look at where the rules of this place are given – No hard soled shoes, raised heels or cleats, animals, bicycles, skates, skateboards, baby carriages, leaning on nets or playing on wet courts…. Is it not a wonder they allow anything at all? Be sure to ignore the other rules. Keep this one though. (That last statement has a double meaning.)

Now proceed toward the basketball court. Ignore it and then pass it as it is on your left, and then go left onto the grass after it. You see the place for exercises? Now you need to get fit for this cache – If you are agile enough, try the jump touch beam and combine it together with the ol’ side stretch. Do not separate those 2 exercises. You need to combine those two exercises together for the desired result. Now you see that slanted high bar with the indication of heights? Isn’t it a bit high? Have you ever even seen someone the height of even the third highest possibility? I am not even as tall as the lowest possibility!

There are so many exercises here, what are your chances of finishing them all? Zero. And what in the world is a gluteus stretch? Sounds dangerous so be careful!

Time to head towards the baseball field. En route you will pass the pavillion on your left. In the main open sheltered area are the hours of the park. If you are a night owl you probably would never consider the possibility of arriving at this park too early so take note of when it opens. A bit beyond the main open shelter area are a couple of blue covered machines. These machines can provide many brands but not the tried and true Uncola! How tragic as you need it to help you find the cache. Next in your journey (just after the soda machines) you will pass a set of thick round stone pillars with lava rocks. How interesting they are indeed and it's therapeutic to ponder them.

Now go onward past the drinking fountain which you can ignore, and beyond that to the viewing booth with all the benches. The most restful view is in the back row, if you lean your back against those comfortable horizontal metal bars. There are enough of them to fully support you. So you can rest here and think about aspects of baseball…. For example, how many bases are there (including home plate)? And hopefully you got here in time for a game. But if you arrived late you would be stuck sitting the the last row of... how many rows of benches? Maybe you don't have the time now so you had better move on.

Now look to your left and you can see a nice tree. Go beyond it and then to the forgettable chain link fence behind it. Follow the fence all the way in the same direction and you will get to a small shelter with benches which has the bathrooms. Ignore the shelter unless you need to go. (Surely you cannot complain that this cache did not provide adequate places for rest, liquid refreshment and bathroom breaks!) Nearby you will see a baseball monument to David E. that you can read but it has nothing to do with this cache.

However what does relate to the cache is the scorekeepers box behind home plate. Go on in, and as you contemplate how many steps are there between (but not including) the bottom platform and the top level? Now that you have collected all the needed clues, you should know where to go to get the cache.

Whether backtracking is involved I will not say. The cache is not next to or in a shelter of any kind. Off you go, then! You have some walking to do. When accessing the cache, keep your back towards the baseball field, and then you will be accessing from the right direction and searching in the right area. Also look around for muggles, many go past this spot. Enjoy!
