Geocache Description:

This is my first cache placed and it is to celebrate the finding of my first 30 caches. The cache is a small 5 inch tube, and at it's inception had within it a Silver Frog, some crayons, 4 x hexagonal 3 pences and some GPS batteries. (And the log) So small exchanges only please.Be warned it can be muddy!! Wellington boots are recommended.

There are 2 suggested parking areas for this cache, for the first and more pleasant walk, where you will pass a couple of historic places you will need to park at N 50 44.716 W 003 31.608 Duryard Valley Park picnic site. You will then need to walk towards Exeter for 50 yards and join the Two Counties way, Follow the bridleway to the left....this is then a .72 mile walk and takes you past the site of a Roman Signal Station and an early Iron Age fort. Between the two sites there used to be a 9 hole golf course which closed in the 1930's. Other festivities were also held here, including firework displays accompanied by brass bands. For a cache and dash (don't be lazy!) park at N 50 45.110W 003 31.561, walk down the road 30 yards and again join the bridleway, this is then a half mile walk to the cache.Your on you own from here.Enjoy the cache and views.
