Located in Morgantown, WV. Take the Sabraton Exit off I-68. Head east on Rt. 7 to Tyrone Rd. Go 1.8 miles to the WV Botanic Garden on the east side of Tyrone Road where you'll find a parking lot. Level hike except for the initial hill. Bike and dog on leash friendly.
Take the gravel trail from the parking lot to the basin. You can go either left or right on the trail. The cache is on the far side of the basin. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BUSH-WHACK ACROSS THE BASIN. Take the cement foot bridge across Tibbs Run.The WV Botanic Garden is located at Morgantown's old Tibbs Run Reservoir. It is an 82 acre work in progress. It is open to the public and visitors can view the 15 acre basin that used to hold water for Morgantown. Some of the old water works are still visible. Pick up a pamphlet at the parking lot and log onto www.wvbg.org for more information.Look for the bluebird and duck houses. Cache contains: log book, pencils, & sharpener,assortment of horse rubber stamps,camera to take your picture (note film # in log;will post when full),Make It Shine litter bag, pencils, & stickers,blow bubbles, tape measure, nail clippers,hand sanitizer,water proof match case, glow sticks, Jeep key chain,water proof matches, match box car, micro-mini LED flashlight, LED keychain, and 10 Sacagawea coins.
