Withers Park was once the home of the Wytheville Baseball Club
and at one time served affiliates of many major league teams,
including the Senators, Cardinals, Twins, Cubs, Braves, and Reds.
Before the High School was moved to its present location, Withers
Field was also the location for football games. It now is a large
grassy area with a large walking track and a playground near McWane
Pool.
Withers Park is now used as the location for numerous civic
celebrations. Monuments which celebrate civic leaders, sports
figures, and military heroes are also located here. We encourage
you to walk the track and spend some time at these spots.
The cache is a mini with log only. Bring your own writing
instrument to sign the log. Be very stealthy when muggles are
about.
