This cache is located on the top of Mt Utsayantha, in Stamford NY. This cache was placed in colboration with The Daily Star. Admire the view at the top along with the Fire Tower/ Ranger station. The Cache is not at the peak, but off to the side. The cache is located at aprx. 3218ft above sea level.
The cache is a small rubbermaid container that contains a log book, some pencils, an Oneonta pin, and a small Daily Star pen and calender. Please bring some small (match-book) sized items for trade or to leave. The Log book is there for your autograph or even the occasional words of wisdom. Once at the top, by the fire tower, you will find fantastic views of Stamford NY and south west. There is another view point on the road up that points north to Gilboa Resevoir.
