Geocache Description:

This cache is a replacement for our Pumpkinvine Creek cache. That cache was the bulldozed victim of suburban sprawl. Thank you to jurban for recovering its remains and notifying us of its location. We were going to just re-hide the cache, but it took 3 people the use of 2 crowbars and a hammer to pry it open, so we decided to go with a new one. The old container has been placed alongside the new one for comparison. The new cache is located just off an easy, multi-use trail. This trail is open only from dawn to dusk and is heavily used on weekends and holidays. Parking is at N33 54.907 W084 52.122. This free lot also contains a shaded area with picnic tables. It is about 0.55 mile to the cache from the parking area. The trail is wide and flat and is wheelchair, stroller, bicycle, and roller blade accessible for all but the last 500 feet to the cache. There is no need to cross any fences. If possible, please keep with the theme of the cache and trade SILVER items only. But it is not mandatory, so please trade whatever you have.Points of interest at approximate distances from the parking lot include a survey marker embedded in a rock at 0.25 mile, a wildlife sign at 0.57 mile, and a trestle overlook at 0.66 mile. After the overlook you may want to hike approximately 0.30 mile further on the main trail to a 250-foot long section where you will lose satellite reception. The initial themed contents consist of all SILVER items including bracelets, confetti, disco earrings, favor baskets, football necklaces, glitter, halo, hole punch, magic puzzles, magnetic clips, matchbox cars, pencils, picture frames, sauce cups, sunglasses, tassel maraca, tea strainer, tiara, and wire whisk.List of hazards includes metro Atlanta bicyclists, sunburn, and acrophobia. This trail is wide and may receive direct sunlight, so plan accordingly. Be prepared with suntan lotion and drinking water. Also, other potential hazards are displayed on the wildlife sign. Adventurous types may want to continue down one of the paths and view the trestle from below.
