The Hutton family being one of Spokane’s earliest philanthropic families whom made their fortune in mining was well know for their children’s charity work such as the Hutton Settlement. It is a little know fact that they donated the land for Lincoln park including the upper 46 acres of the park above the basalt rock cliffs. The upper part of the park is 46 acres and includes a pond which is spring fed. The locals tell tales of how the pond has no bottom to its deep waters ?? The Hutton family home is the white Georgian-style mansion at the west end of the park.Come enjoy all the park has to offer.
