Geocache Description:

The above coordinates are fake,
you will end up right in the middle of Kattegat!

Far to long distance to swim!

Koordinatet er ikke det rigtige, det vil bringe dig ud midt i Kattegat!

The cache is located on Læsø, in the neighbourhood of Læsø Airfield
The name of the cache is EKLS and that is the ICAO index for Læsø Airfield.

Regarding logging of EKLS!
For those who have logged "Brick Wall" and "Spring Break" up to when "EKLS" was reopened 7th of June, 2008, please contact me for further instructions of how to find "EKLS".

Once upon a time there was a cache container which made an interesting journey.
The 11th of March, 2008, was a very special day in my geocaching life, but this story began already the 29th of August, 2007.
The story is so special and odd so I want to share it with you!

On the 29th of August, 2007, I received an e-mail from the Danish geocacher couple "crumlin" where they asked for confirmation of the final coordinates, which I gave them. In my reply I also provided "crumlin" with a slightly extended hint and my mobile phone number.

Quite soon I received a phone call from "crumlin" standing on Læsø airfield, describing what they saw at the site and together we could establish the fact the cache container was gone, towed away!

This phone call made me write the following log, the same day: "I had a report from "crumlin" (Sys and Per) today and it seems that the whole hiding place is towed away, so until next visit to Læsø I have to disable the cache, but it will be back again." The cache container was hidden inside a tractor like scrap car, that had been standing at the airfield "for ages".

After several phone calls to Denmark I finally, the 5th of September, have been able to track my cache container. After more than three years as a hiding place for my cache, the car was transported away to Brønderslev on Jutland, for scrapping!

I assumed than that the container was lost somewhere between Læsø airfield and Brønderslev, because when I came in contact with the scrap man in Brønderslev he couldn't find the cache container during his search, while I guided him on the phone. My intention was, of course, to place a new container, in a new spot at the airfield, as soon as possible.

The 1st of March, 2008, I received an e-mail from another Danish geocacher family, "familien larsen" from Odense. The lady of the "familien larsen" whose brother in law had bought the vehicle from the scrap man, wrote to me and told me that when her brother in law started to dismantling the scrap car, he found my cache container and contacted her! Obviously had it been moved from its hiding place in the vehicle during the long transport and became concealed from the scrap man.

NEVERTHELESS …
the 11th of March did I receive a small parcel containing the original cache container with its original content, including the original log stripe! WOW!

I had, since long, given up my hope in getting it back and a new constructed hiding place and a new cache container was lying ready at home, since a couple of month!

The bad weather conditions this winter has hindered me to fly over and replace the EKLS cache, but finally at the 7th of June all parts fell in place and I had air under the wings, heading for Læsø airfield and EKLS.

Since that day my trinity of Læsø caches are working again, and EKLS with its original parts!

This is a small cache.
It’s a 0,1 litre transparent plastic food container with white lid
and had the following content from start:
