Pencil Stash Cache Revised 2005 Multi-Cache

mainepod: Decided that it was time to archive this cache. It's a nice walk along the river, but not on an established trail, so it didn't get much activity. There was a football helmet next to the cache, and I have NO idea how it got there! So the cache is archived, but the helmet remains as its tombstone. Cheers - hope those of you who found the cache enjoyed the walk along the Androscoggin.

Geocache Description:

A 2-stage multi-cache located along the Androscoggin River

A wooden marker at the posted coordinates will give you the coordinates for the cache itself. Although the marker is hidden in plain sight, you may have to look awhile! At about .1 mile from the marker, leave the well traveled trail for "the path less traveled". Because it is somewhat overgrown and because of a recent remark about the "lonnnnng" walk to the cache, we've increased the terrain rating to three stars.

The original cache washed away in the spring floods of 2005, and has been replaced with an ammo box that is more securely fastened to "terra firma". It should be an easy find, located at a spot that we've nicknamed "Pencil Point". The cache contains an assortment of pencils. Please take a pencil as your reward for finding the cache. If you wish to trade, please exchange pens or pencils only - no boring yellow pencils, please!
