Park at N 42° 04.181 W 072° 33.670. Sign the log and take a map.
Space might be tight so do not leave anything. On these maps your
current location is indicated by a triangle, the location of the
Orienteering Cache is indicated with a circle, and the coordinates
are written in the upper left part of the map. Terrain features
will prevent you from taking the straight-line route to the cache,
so route choice is important. A well-planned route can save you a
great deal of effort.
In the sport of orienteering you may only use a map and compass.
But, if you wish, you may use your GPS as well. Please post a note
if you find fewer than five maps remaining; so that I can restock
the cylinder.
I’ve started this cache with unusual items you are unlikely to
have encountered in any other cache.
A special prize for the first finder
A five-color version of the orienteering map of the area.
Two sets of special UV detecting beads that turn colors only under
UV light (sunlight).
Two packages of sand dollars/seashells.
A pair of pinecones painted to reveal their Fibonacci spirals.
A pouch of genuine Guatemalan worry dolls
A bar of picture soap - image will not vanish with use.
You can park your car and access the park from the surrounding
city streets. If you wish to drive into the park there is an
entrance/parking fee.
