A fairly easy cache in a fairly pretty spot for Kansas prairie land.
This cache was originally one of those hidden at CITO on April 17, 2004. It is a lock the lid container about the size of a spiral geocaching logbook notebook. Of course, it is coated with black electrical tape. One of the original items is a 2007-P Washington Dollar Coin. This is one of my favorite spots in the park. Since hiding it, the poison ivy has grown wildly and engulfs it. There is still a nice view of the creek, but hardly any shade. A running, horseback trail takes you right to it. It is about a mile from the west shelter via the main trail. I often stop or turn around here when running the dirt trails in the park. (there is also a parking area about 500 feet northwest of the cache).
