Nice views of the ocean, harbor, and city. Grassy hills and mostly paved walkways.
Make sure to stop by the High Tide Coffee shop for breakfast on the way out there (or on the way back)...you won't be disappointed. It is on Shirley Street. I will post coordinates later.
MWRA water treatment facility is nearby and you can walk all the way around if you want to. The path continues for 2.8 miles around the island.
The above coordinates are for the parking lot.
You'll have to collect some information to find the final.
1.) Proceed to the starting point:
N 42 21.280
W 70 57.615
2.) The Custom House is numbered __?
This number minus 1 = A
This number = B
This number minus 2 = C
W = A + B
X = A + B + C
3.) Next proceed to:
N 42 21.A88
W 70 57.WA4
Here you will find a word...Divide the word into two seperate words (there is no need to rearrange the letters).
The number of letters in the first word = Y
The number of letters in the second word = Z
D = Z - W
E = 2 * Y (two times Y)
Cache is located at:
N 42 21.AXD
W 70 57.ECE
Cache consists of a medium-sized container.
>>>>> Do not feel the need to trade items, container is small and will probably hold a TB or two, so please, do not fill with toys or junk, the views are the real reward
********* RECENT NEWS **********
5/04/2007 Ditto again.
3/30/2006 Ditto for this year.
On my last visit to the final I noticed that a path is beginning to be laid through the wildflowers. These types of flowers actually liked to be walked on, but not too much, and I don't want to attract attention to the final site.
PLEASE SPREAD OUT AND DON'T USE THE PATH.
You'll find a little "nest" where you can take a break after your hard work at the final.
The flowers actually smell pretty good and they attract a lot of wildlife like birds and butterflies, so, enjoy!
