The coordinates above are not the coordinates of this cache. They
provide a good starting point and indication of the area in which
the cache is located. This cache is the first in a series of three
caches, each of which are separately loggable. The coords to the
second cache, known as "Gassed on 8040" are found in this
cache.
Cache container is a small plastic peanut butter jar with a few
exchange goodies. You can park within 50 ft of the cache, but this
is a well used area and you may have to use stealth, particularly
on weekends. Please be sure the cache is as well or better hidden
as you found it.To determine the actual coordinates for this cache,
calculate the average of the lattitudes and longitudes of the
eleven prior Oly Sidewinder caches (all of which were placed in the
year 2003). Then ignoring the degrees, halve the average lattitude
and add .077, and double the average longitude and add .019. Add
the degree numbers back in at the end. (11-27-08: Minor change made
to longitude correction factor to take into account a minor
coordinate change made on one of the factored caches)
