Geocache Description:

A short walk along a bridel path in Hamsterley Forest to the cache.

There are a few starting points for this cache depending on how far you wish to walk. We started in a car park fairly close and if you start in the same place you will pass some face carvings called 'Green Man Life Cycle'. These are by Phil Townsend and three faces carved into six fir trunks to depict the legendary spirit of the woodlands in his youth, mid-life and old age. You may have to pay £3 toll or £5 during Bank Holiday Weekends to enter the forest but there are toilets, tea rooms etc.
