Since geocaching, by nature, involves finding something that you
know the exact location of, it seems like the best caches should at
least be difficult to get to. This cache is very easy to get within
500 feet of, but should be fairly challenging to reach.
Please be careful in this area, as the terrain is rocky, there
are many cliffs, and route-finding is not often easy. If you find
yourself uncomfortable about your chosen route, please backtrack
and find another. My friends and I have always called this place
the "Back Rocks". I have heard that many years ago, the Boy Scouts
used these cliffs for rock climbing practice. I have climed many of
them myself and the routes are typically not difficult, but lend
themselved to being climbed in 2 or 3 pitches, giving good practice
for multi-pitch climbs without much commitment. There are several
old pitons in the cliffs that support this Boy Scout theory.
