Geocache Description:

The cache is located in classic limestone country. Sink pots, potholes, collapsed caves, limestone pavements, streams vanishing and resurging are all features of the flanks of Ingleborough.

A big thanks to Sleepless42 for the original cache
Now taken over by myself. Many thanks.

Sulber Gate lies at the top of the Ingleborough trail with Ingleborough standing majestically over looking this beautiful spot and one which many weary Three Peakers will pass on their route back to Pen-y-ghent cafe to clock off.

From here you can walk over Sulber Nick to Horton, along Clapham Lane to Selside or down over Thieves Moss to Beggar's Stile, down Crumockdale to Austwick.

There is a wonderful echo on Thieves Moss - shouts roll around the walls and come back at you. It is said that Thieves Moss was where thieves were tried and executed, but why they should be so treated here is a mystery to me.

WARNING : The clints and grikes of limestone pavement are tricky to negotiate if you are unsteady on your feet or have young ones with you. The cache is hidden in the pavement so take care!
