Geocache Description:

This is Ziggy Crews 23rd cache hidden.
And Our Second Multi-Cache.

This cache is located in Highland Lakes State Park. The cache container is a small treasure chest that is full of gems, crystals and the crown jewels. Oh yeah, and a log book. :)

This part of the park is really nice to walk through and you will be amazed on how quiet it is. No sound of the busy roads, power equipment, construction or any other part of every day life. Just the wild life and and the wind through the trees. An ocasional plane here and there, but thats ok just to be able to here forest. The trails are old roads and or horse trails that criss cross the park. Some are very rocky and others are even. This end of the park have some good steep hills to climb also. So you will need to where a good pair of shoes. While I was walking on these trails I saw a Red Tail Fox, Deer, lots of Chipmunks, all kinds of birds, and quite a few other critters.

To get to the starting point you will have to take Camp Orange Rd, which is just off Rt 211 between Middletown and Montgomery. Parking at the gate is allowed and looks like there is room for 4 or 5 cars. The first spot is less then 100 ft from the parking area.

Now for the hard part. There are 7 locations in the park that have 2 sets of coordinants in each container. 2 containers only have 1 set of coordinants, that in turn lead you to another spot for 2 more coodinants. Its up to you to choose which way that you want to go. When you choose your coordinants, it can be done in as litte as 3 spots to as many as 5 spots. I am not going to tell you how far the cache is away from the car but I can tell you that you may want to have a little while for this cache. It is by all means not a cache and dash. And there is no other parking on this side of the park. The starting point is the only starting point. All the spots are just off the trail at intersections. Most of the containers are in plain view and not hidden. These containers are Easter Eggs with a camo design on them and they do blend well with the area they are in. The 2 coordinants in each egg are written on the inside with permanant marker on each half. A small chain holds the 2 halfs so that they can not be lost or seperated. And please do not make any attempts to seperate them. When trading items please remember to use the tresure theme. Items you would find in a tresure chest. And nothing real that is worth something. You'll see why when you open the box.

Have fun and as always, Happy Caching!
