Geocache Description:

A quick cache to give you a break as you motor down US24 between Waterville and Napoleon.

The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project by the Northwest Ohio Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. This cache is part of that series created by nwogeo members to highlight cemeteries in the area. Although this cache is technically not on cemetery property, the best access to it is. Please be respectful of the area, and observe the posted hours which are sunrise to sunset.

This cache is in the typical Rubbermaid-style container, and wrapped in a black plastic bag. Shouldn't be too difficult, unless you have difficulty on slopes. Just below the cache is a green-water section of the old canal, with the towpath and the Buckeye Trail on the far side. There is a variety of birds, deer, and other wildlife in the area. If there is an event in progress at this facility, please leave and do other nearby caches, and come back later. The cache is located in nearly the exact middle of the area adopted by the Northwest Ohio Geocachers (www.nwogeo.org) for roadside cleanup. Prominent green signs are posted at each end of this two-mile chunk of highway, designating the two mile area that NWO Geocachers have committed to clean up four times a year.

8/27/05: Be sure you select the correct container to log your find. The geocache is the larger clear plastic box with the blue lid. There is also now a Letterboxing container at the same spot (name: Lucky). Bring your letterboxing stamp and pad with you, and do a "two-fer".
