My 100th !This hide is to commemorate my 100th hide...You are
looking for a small Ammo box.
... This one is a little harder than most. First, start out at the
Appalachian Trail parking on Dennis Cove Rd
N36 15.844 W82 07.386
Second, hike and hike until you reach
N36 16.383 W82 07.930
Straight ahead is the High Water trail, you can hike this trail to
the shelter and then loop back around to the lower water trail to
get to the falls, if you want to enjoy the hike. There is an AT
Shelter this way also where you can camp overnight.
This is the TOP of the steep downhill descent to the falls. The
view is WELL worth the trip. Go all the way to the falls. Swimming
in the falls is not recommended, but there the cool breeze and
great view are worth the effort.
Third, head back up the steps you came down and locate the cache.
GPS coverage is spotty in this area, so I've included clues to
help. If, after your first visit you can't find it, I've got
pictures.Enjoy ! and don't forget to Cache in, Trash Out.
Please do not leave any food products or anything
that smells like food (i.e. fruit scented items). Animals will find
and destroy the cache if you do. Thanks.
