I drive by this place every day and though what a good place for
a cache. Went out on my lunch hour to scope a good hiding sport and
came across a huge deer. Didn’t see him until I was only about 30
feet from him. After a big sniff and a couple of bounds through the
brush he stopped to try and smell for me again. Failing to smell
me. He just stood there looking right at me and not seeing me. Wish
I had a camera on me. To not disturb him any further, I began to
back away slower and make my escape. On the way out of the area
came across a great spot to hide the cache, and here it sits in
waiting.
The above coordinates are not the correct but will get you to
the parking lot. There are fences along the outside of the trail.
Please respect them. There are ways to approach the cache with out
having to climb any fences. To solve the cache you must first find
all twenty words in the puzzle below. Once you have found all the
words look for the letters at the word intersections. Write down
all the letters from the intersecting words in the top half of the
puzzle in the first row of blanks for Letters. Then write
down all the letters from the intersecting words in the bottom half
of the puzzle in the second row of blanks for Letters.
Use the table of letters and numbers to find a numeric value for
each letter you have written down and enter the numeric value below
each letter. Now add up the numbers and write down the total at
then end each row.
For the first row, multiply the total by 35, divide it by 1000,
and then add to 35.397. This will give you the latitude for the
cache.
For the second row, multiply the total by 45, divide it by 1000,
and then add to 32.807. This will give you the longitude for the
cache.
