NOTE: This cache was hidden in 2004. My idea is to keep it in it's original sytle to convey the feeling of how a cache worked back in 2004. Please keep that im mind and enjoy the ancient way of geocaching.

Due to bad satellite reception in the narrow alleys you should follow the description
in the predetermined order.

STAGE1 - Burg Wels:

Visit "Burg Wels". On the walls around the park you'll find the epitaph of "Hedwig Hohenfelder".
Read it carefully and find the last word.
If it is ...
COLIT then A=0 and S1='AM'
SPIRITUS then A=1 and S1='PF'
ASTRA then A=2 and S1='A'
If you leave the place through the western entrance you'll see parts of the old town.
You can also leave the place through the northern entrance to reach the "Stadtplatz".

STAGE2 - Haas Hof:

Walk through the alleyway left of the shop (Scribo) into the courtyard "Haas Hof".
It is supposed to be among the most beautiful arcade courtyards of Wels.
How many trees do you find here.

Leave the place through the western entrance.
When you reach "Schmidtgasse" head right (north).
Take the next possibility to turn left (west) to reach the entrance for stage 3.

STAGE3 - Kornspeicher:

Enter the courtyard through the entrance an take a rest on one of the benches.
You'll find a number on a sculpture.

Leave stage 3 through the southern entrance back to "Stadtplatz".

STAGE4 - Stadtbrunnen:

On the fountain you'll find a number with four digits.

Go further west to the "Bürgerhaus".
You will recognize it by the sign on the wall.

STAGE5 - Bürgerhaus:

Walk into the alleyway heading north.
After ~20 meters you'll find stage 5.
Find out how many years the building was used as "Sparkasse".

Move on north to leave the alleyway. Turn left to reach stage 6.

STAGE6 - Freiung:

STAGE7 - Ledererturm:

Above the gate you'll find a sign with 12 digits on it.
Calculate the single-digit cross sum. => X.

From stage 7 move back to stage 4 where you find stage 8 nearby.

STAGE8 - ???:
