The coords listed above are
for the Eagle Service Project of CL, a Scout who earned his Eagle
Rank while a member of a BSA Troop in Clearwater, FL. No sign or
plaque gives credit where credit is due. By placing this
cache, we hope to do so.
SPRING 2010 - THE BENCH COUNT HAS ***NOT*** CHANGED, BUT THEY
***HAVE*** BEEN REARRANGED BY CONSTRUCTION CHANGES. YOU STILL
CANNOT SEE ALL OF THEM FROM YOUR GEOMOBILE, SO GET OUT AND GET
COUNTING. USE YOUR GEOSENSE AND YOU'LL BE FIND... er... FINE.
CL's Eagle Service
Project is at the given coords. While this place welcomes all
visitors, you need not tarry past getting the two clues unless you
make the choice to stay longer. CL spent a lot of time here, and is
deemed a favored son.
See those shiny green
things Yuzawa Kat and CSI Crue (that's Cache Scene Investigator
Crue to you) are perched near?
Perhaps THAT's where they
should have sat! Those are part of CL's Eagle Service
Project.
How many of them are there in total? HINT: You can't tell by the
picture alone,
and you can't count all of them while still sitting in your
GeoMobile!
(How inappropriate would it have been if I
had put the evil smilie here
)
Make that number X = _____.
Nearby is a courtyard with a cement pond. At the top of that are
several water carriers of a non-gargoylish nature. How many
HORIZONTAL water carriers are there?
Make that Y = _____.
Now, let's combine them
in various ways, and go for the final coords. You may sit where
Yuzawa Kat and CSI Crue were sitting, or in your car, or in the
nearby park to the northeast of the coords.
Y - 1 = A _____. X + Y = B _____. B - 1 = C
_____.
N 28 00.A B C_____ _____ _____
X - 1 = D _____. X + 1 = E _____. A = F
_____.
W 082 40.D E F_____ _____ _____
Now go for the cache!
This cache says MICRO, but it is one of your larger micros,
larger than a film canister. Its original use was as a large pill
container, so you might need to bring a child to help you open it.
(I copied that directly from someone
else's recent cache page.)
(Initial contents include two batteries, some GeoPogs,
and a log. Please bring your own pen or
pencil.
We placed the final cache with the acceptance of KH, the Pinellas
County Parks
Manager for Philippe Park. Please respect any posted rules
of
Philippe Park, especially speed limits and parking
guidelines.
Philippe Park is open from dawn until dusk,
and also closes when the park is full.
~~ Have a blessed day. Happy caching.
