Rather than
buy myself an extravagant birthday present as I am prone to do
every year, this year I decided to leverage my other birthday
tradition of taking the day off from work by treating myself to an
overnight kayaking trip up Pitt Lake to find a couple of the new
caches that have been recently placed. While packing for the trip
one of my travelling companions suggested (insisted would be more
accurate) that I plant a couple of my own caches as well. This
cache is the first of two I placed on the east shore of Pitt Lake
on my birthday.
The cache
container is a sandwich-sized Lock & Lock and, while it does
contain a couple of small trade items, trading is not required or
expected.
This cache is
only accessible by boat and is just a couple meters off the rocky
beach. The easiest access is along the shore from the gravel beach
next to the Lipstick Beach cache.
