Standard Cache near Ruislip Lido
Ruislip Lido was established as a reservoir to feed the Grand Union Canal by damming and flooding the lower part of the valley between Park Wood and Copse Wood, including the hamlet of Park Hearn. Work began in 1811 and the reservoir started to feed the Canal in 1816.Today it is a beautiful place to visit for walking; however, you can also take the miniature railway part-way to the cache and around the lido if you prefer a more relaxing visit to the area. The cache is a 2 litre tub in a black plastic bag. Initial contents are Mr Badger Travel Bug, Bubbles, a ball, a book and some other gifts. There is a large free car park at 51°35.497'N, 0°26.001'W
