Bring at least two flashlights and good hiking shoes! The cave is great to explore, but only open between April 15th and November 1, due to nesting bats. Don't step into the skylights when you're exploring around the area!
There are fairly accesible roads right to the site, coming either from Hwy 242 (McKenzie Pass Hwy) from the south, or off Hwy 20/126 from the north, a bit W of Black Butte Ranch entrance. But beware that some of these roads (especially those coming from the north) are fairly overgrown and might leave your car with a few scratches. We hid the cache in a typical cache spot a short ways from the cave entrance and the skylight holes, to avoid accidental detection.
