Enigma: Mission 3 - Turing's Old School Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Boneychest & Catsuey: It appears that everyone who can be bothered with this one has done so and, as it's seven months since any cachers have looked for it, it's time to close 'the old school'. Thanks to all who have visited and hopefully enjoyed the challenge.

Geocache Description:

Enigma. Noun, from the Latin word aenigma, meaning puzzle. Used for something that has an unknown meaning or purpose.

This was the third in a series of six caches. All of the other 'early' missions have now been archived but it is still possible to find the sixth and final cache by visiting the listings for all of the first five to get parts of the tool kit to crack the code.

The college chapel

Alan Turing studied mathematics at ??? College, Cambridge. If you know which college it was (the picture is a giveaway), then the following should be easy.

All you need to do is find the answers to the following questions and, because parking in Cambridge can be quite difficult, we have checked that the information you need is available on the internet. You should, of course, still pay a visit to the city if you have time and "do the tourist thing". The cache is hidden out of town and the coordinates given above are for suitable parking in Grantchester. The village has three very nice pubs (and one that we haven't tried), or for those that prefer 'Morning coffee, light luncheons or afternoon tea' then a visit to The Orchard is recommended before, during or after your search.

Q1    King Henry III granted a teaching monopoly to Cambridge University in what year?   1 ABC

Q2    King Henry VI laid the foundation stone of the college chapel on 25 July in what year?    14DE

Q3    When was the fan vaulting of the college chapel 'the noblest stone ceiling in existence' completed?    1FCF

Q4    When were non-Etonians first admitted to the college?    1GHB

Q5    How many years after the foundation of the college did Turing enter as an undergratuate?    DJK

This is a two stage multicache; The first point is a microcache located at N52° CK.JEJ  E000° KF.GHG

Oh yes.... We should mention that Alan Turing was a mathematical genius and you might want to take pencil, paper, grey matter etc. along with you.
