Walk or mountain bike on rocky trails, up and down some steep hills to find stage 1. Fantastic new Tioga Recreation Trails wind throughout. Shortest route to the final is down a steep hill. But a more interesting route is to follow the bike trails 1916 and Seven Iron Men. Very interesting evidence of previous mining operations along the way. Closest road access to the final is Silvis to Drumbeater.
Cache is located about 4 miles west of Grand Rapids off Co. Rd. 63 in Tioga Recreation Area near hills overlooking Pokegama Lake. Park at N 47 13.354 W 93 36.738. The first clue will be the last three numbers for the final. It is a metal ammo box filled with interesting items. The little boys who helped me replace it call the final location Porcupine Valley Hideout. See if you can figure out why that name. Retrieving the cache is a challenge but hopefully won't put you 'over the edge.'
