It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While
we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block
other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable
amount of time, we can't do so forever. Therefore we are archiving this
cache so that someone else can place a cache in the area and geocachers
can once again enjoy visiting this location. If you haven?t done so
already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the upper campus of Pikeville College. It is a short distance from parking, and is near campus buildings.

Pikeville College (PC) is a small, private liberal arts school, dedicated to personalized student education and is a landmark in the area. Please park in the parking garage on Hambley Blvd. Take the skyway across to the Record Bldg. and take elevator to the 6th floor. Once outside the building, you will be on the main section of campus “on the hill.”

This cache was developed to help show teachers how to use GPS devices and Geocaching in classroom activities. As such, it is handicapped accessible. (Ramps and elevators available, as well as handicapped parking). Please take the time to explore campus, and see the great view of town afforded by the cache site. Feel free to ask students or instructors what going to PC is like. Lunch in the campus cafeteria is inexpensive, tasty and plentiful.

The cache is in a medium-sized, clear Tupperware container that is clearly marked with a green Geocaching label. The cache (originally) contains:

• The “Lil Pike” travel bug hitchhiker
• A “Happy Mouse” tool (for cleaning computer mice)
• An American flag pin
• A magnifying glass
• An extendable badge or ID card holder
• An “Effective Teacher” apple pin in a red velveteen pouch
• A PC penlight
• 2 PC keychains (1 square, 1 rectangle)
• A PC pen keyholder
• A PC decal
• A PC neckstrap

Of course, there is also a logbook and pencil!

As we will be using this for educational purposes, please place something back in the cache that tells us a little about you!
